January 20, 2013 – It’s been three months since Hurricane Sandy struck and many parts of the City are still recovering. Times were tough for millions of New York City residents before October 29—in fact, one in three of them was having difficulty putting food on the table—and things only got worse after Sandy.

Members of NY Giants Defensive Line ‘Touch-down’ at Food Bank for NYC’s Community Kitchen of West Harlem to Unload Turkeys and ‘Tackle’ Hunger this Holiday Season

November 23, 2010 — New York Giants Chris Canty and fellow defensive lineman made a ‘touchdown’ today at the Food Bank For New York City’s Community Kitchen of West Harlem to unload a delivery of 100+ turkeys, thousands of pounds of produce and all the Thanksgiving trimmings from a Food Bank 54 ft.-long tractor trailer and serve the dinner meal to 700+ New Yorkers in need.
