Meals and Services in Harlem

Our Community Kitchen has served the Harlem community since 1984. We provide more than 100,000 free meals each month through our soup kitchen, food pantry and senior program. Our team includes professional chefs, community nutritionists, program administrators and caring volunteers ensuring healthy meals, comprehensive services and accessibly care for families and individuals needing it most.
All are welcome for a free, wholesome take-home meal on weekdays at our Community Kitchen. All meals are served at the door.

Community Meal (grab and go meals ONLY):
Monday – Friday: 4:00pm – 6:00pm
2 meals per person
No registration or ID required.

Supper Klub is a FREE meal service specifically for children, teens and parents in need of food. Supper Klub is served during Community Meal. If you have children in your household, you can pick up meals for everyone in your family. Supper Klub meals are currently offered as to-go meals ONLY. Volunteer opportunities have been temporarily suspended in light of COVID-19.

Easy on-site registration for Supper Klub family meal pick-up.

Visit our food pantry to receive groceries for your whole family. While we’ve had to suspend client-choice pantry shopping in light of COVID-19, you can still come pick up a pre-packaged pantry bag of delicious and wholesome food items. Registration is required.

Senior-only Pantry bag pick-up times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9:30am – 11:00am

Pantry bag pick-up times:
Tuesday, Thursday: 11:00am – 3:30pm
Wednesday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Please bring ID to pick-up.

Use Plentiful to register for the pantry and make an appointment to pick up food without waiting in line.

We recommend bringing a shopping cart.

Halal meat available.

Senior (Adults 60+) Grab & Go Meals:
Monday – Friday
4pm – 6pm

In-Person Senior Programming:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
12pm – 2pm
Morningside Park (between 114th and 115th Street)

The Community Kitchen is also a one-stop site where you can get assistance applying for SNAP benefits (also known as food stamps), information about our FREE tax filing program and how to access free cell phones, assistance getting connected to health care, and more.
