Thank you for your interest in joining Food Bank For New York City’s network.

To start the application process to join our network, your organization must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Has an active 501(c)3 EIN (Tax ID).
  • Must be open to serve the general public.
  • Must have an existing emergency Food Assistance Program operating for a minimum of three (3) months.
  • Must be conducting food distributions at least once per week.
  • Hours of operation cannot overlap with existing Food Bank members within a five-block radius of your program. See map HERE to determine proximity.
  • MUST operate in one of the Community Districts below – no exceptions at this time.
    • Food Bank is focusing on addressing food insecurity in the below Community Districts as part of our COVID-19 Response Strategy. We understand that food insecurity is pervasive across all five boroughs. As such, Food Bank works to analyze resources per capita. This evaluation serves as a measurement of the stability of existing emergency food resources within a specific geographic area based on the percentage of the population living below the Federal Poverty line.

If your organization meets the eligibility criteria outlined above, please contact Jorge Loaiza at jloaiza@foodbanknyc.org to express interest in joining our member network today.

Please note that each year, the communities are subject to change based on the above analysis. If your food program does not currently operate in one of the above neighborhoods, we anticipate that these communities will be in effect until July 2022. At that time, if your agency is still interested in partnering with Food Bank For New York City, please check back on this page for more details regarding the FY23 neighborhoods and your eligibility to join our network.
