Spring Into Summer for Hunger Relief Raises 125K Meals for New Yorkers in Need!

Food Bank’s Junior Board kicked off the summer season in style with a rooftop happy hour to raise funds and awareness of hunger relief. Despite the chillier-than-normal temps, nearly 200 young professionals and social influencers, including Twitter’s BlackBirds, attended the June 6 social at the exclusive Spring Place rooftop overlooking Tribeca.

The event was created as an opportunity for the Junior Board to connect New Yorkers unfamiliar with Food Bank’s mission to join the fight to end hunger by helping to raise more than 125,000 meals—enough to provide an entire month of dinner services through Food Bank’s West Harlem Community Kitchen.

In addition to learning how to get involved with and support Food Bank, partygoers noshed on chef-inspired snacks, sipped themed cocktails provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, participated in some fun outdoor games and posted plenty of skyline selfies (#SpringIntoSummer).
