EMERGENCY FOOD & SHELTER PROGRAM (EFSP, formerly FEMA)

What is it? EFSP is a federal program that provides lines of credit to be used to purchase food and other food program supplies.
Fee associated: None
Who is eligible? Soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters, an approved application from United Way and active Food Bank membership in good standing.
How do I apply? Current Food Bank EFSP grantees will receive specific instructions from the Food Bank about renewal on a regular, annual basis.Some agencies may be eligible to receive EFSP monies through an umbrella agency such as Catholic Charities. How do I access? Organizations must place orders through the Food Bank’s Online Ordering System.
