Chef & Family Repack at Hunts Point Warehouse

On Sunday, October 15, Food Bank For New York City hosted an assembly of culinary talents and food industry professionals at our Hunts Point Warehouse at The Bronx for a family repack event. Volunteers included Anna Gordon, Chef and owner of The Good Batch Bakery, Ali Rosen, Alex Ursprung of Point Seven, and many more, alongside their families and friends.

Across two shifts, volunteers repacked boxes filled with essential provisions – shelf-stable milk, dried fruit, pasta, canned protein, and cereal, all destined for our Silver Program, which supports seniors through the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) across New York City. Together, they packed 504 cases, totaling 14,622 pounds of food or about 12,280 meals for those in need.
