MANHATTAN, NEW YORK Food, history, and culture came together for one unforgettable evening as Food Bank For New York City hosted the final Eat For Good dinner of 2025 at Tatiana, located at Lincoln Center Plaza and led by Chef Kwame Onwuachi alongside guest Chef Mashama Bailey.

Guests experienced an inspired menu that celebrated both chefs’ roots and storytelling through food—from trotter toast with blueberry mostarda to charred Dorade in Trini curry sauce and tamarind icebox cake for dessert. Each course reflected the power of culture and creativity, reminding everyone that food is more than nourishment—it is connection.

“This collaboration was about storytelling through food and the power of culture shared at the table,” said Matt Honeycutt, Chief Development Officer at Food Bank For NYC. “Food is family, it is history, it is our story. What chefs prepare for us reflects who they are, and it reminds us of the people behind every plate.”

That spirit of connection has fueled the Eat For Good movement—a series uniting top chefs and food lovers around one shared purpose: empowering every New Yorker to achieve food security for good. Now in its second year, the series has welcomed over 500 guests and raised nearly half a million dollars, translating to millions of meals for neighbors in need.

One guest, Sima Litmann, even celebrated her birthday that night. “You can’t just walk in and get a reservation here,” she laughed. “This dinner made it possible—and for such an important cause.”

Supported by MetLife, Nationwide, United Airlines, Sanpellegrino®, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Gallo, the dinner capped off a remarkable year for Eat For Good—one that turned awareness into action at a time when meals matter more than ever.

“Eat For Good reminds us that while we share a beautiful meal together, more than 1.4 million New Yorkers are unsure of where their next meal will come from,” added Honeycutt. “These dinners help Food Bank ensure every New Yorker can gather at the table.”
