Robin Hood Foundation’s generous partnership allows Food Bank to distribute food to agencies throughout NYC, supports our Community Kitchen and Food Pantry in West Harlem, and enables our clients to achieve greater financial and food stability by connecting them to critical public benefits, such as EITC and SNAP.

TheJPMorgan Chase Foundation’s partnership has expanded our income support efforts, including the launch of our Food and Finances Lab – a community-based financial coaching program for food-insecure New Yorkers. The Foundation also promotes volunteerism for their employees, youth and the general public.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation’s partnership allows Food Bank to increase access to food for veterans and New York City residents. This program is made possible in part by a grant from the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which is dedicated to ensuring that impacted veterans, service members, their families, and their caregivers thrive long after they return home.

Million Meals Club
Food Bank’s Million Meals Club is an elite group of food donors who have donated enough food to equal one million or more meals for New Yorkers in need.
Nonprofit Partners
Fellow hunger-relief organizations and other groups act as supporters and colleagues in Food Bank’s efforts to both provide food to the hungry and work to eliminate hunger.

FEEDING AMERICA
As the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, Feeding America solicits surplus food and grocery products to distribute through a nationwide network of over 200 food banks — including the Food Bank For New York City — and food rescue programs.

SHARE OUR STRENGTH
Share Our Strength works closely with Food Bank to increase the availability of anti-hunger resources by supporting our efforts to enlist members of the public as well as government officials in order to enlist their support in combating food insecurity.
Food Assistance Programs
The Food Bank’s network of more than 1,000 community-based member programs throughout the five boroughs includes soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, daycare services, Open Market BackPack Programs, rehabilitation centers, shelters and youth services. These programs use the food provided by the Food Bank for preparing nutritious, balanced meals for hungry New Yorkers who otherwise would not get enough to eat — the majority of whom are women, children, seniors, the working poor and people with disabilities.
Other Partners
Food Bank For New York City also works with a variety of other groups, including national and local anti-hunger nonprofit organizations, anti-poverty organizations, grantmakers, businesses, legislators and government agencies, to alleviate hunger in New York City.
Government Partners
Food Bank For New York City engages in public-private partnerships in order to best serve our network of charities. We work with federal, state and city government partners and agencies to support emergency food providers through funding, programs and policy change.
