We move food with precision and care—making sure every dollar, donation, and pound goes where it’s needed. From pick-up to drop-off, we act fast so nothing’s wasted and every meal makes it home.
The Farm
It all begins with our produce partners. Getting freshly picked food out quickly is essential to preserving nutrition. Our farm relationships allow us to bring nature’s medicine—fresh fruits and vegetables—directly into our supply chain and the hands of New Yorkers experiencing hunger within 24 hours. Freshly picked on Monday, on the table by Tuesday.
The Food Distribution Center
Our 90,000-square-foot warehouse at the Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx sits at the heart of America’s largest food distribution hub of its kind. With room to store up to 8.3 million pounds of food, our Distribution Center is where our mission comes to life. Every weekday, 50 to 75 truckloads of fresh produce, meats, seafood, dairy products and canned goods roll in from around the country.
The team sorts, stages, and routes every item to where it’s needed most—cycling through millions of pounds of food monthly. Coolers keep fresh, culturally relevant ingredients at peak quality.
No challenge is too big for our team. What others turn away, we take on—packed, loaded, and on the road in no time.
The Fleet
Our 40+ truck fleet runs rain or shine, navigating one of the most logistically complex cities on Earth with near-perfect timing. Heat wave or snowstorm, the trucks keep rolling. Drivers fulfill hundreds of orders daily—all in a New York minute.
The Member Agencies
Our trucks deliver to almost 800 pantries, soup kitchens, schools, and community centers covering nearly every corner of NYC. We invest in our agencies with training, grants, and resources to serve their neighbors with dignity.
The Mobile Pantries
Our mobile pantries bring healthy, nutritious food directly into underserved neighborhoods (food deserts)—bridging the gap where grocery stores fall short and helping green the map with fresh, local produce.
The Community Kitchen
While most meals are delivered through our partners, some are served right at our Community Kitchen in West Harlem—where we provide over 100,000 free meals each month. Here, New Yorkers pick up groceries, share a hot meal, and access services like SNAP enrollment, nutrition counseling, and health screenings—all under one roof.
It’s a place of dignity, connection, and a model for strengthening community sites citywide.
