Know Before You Go

Questions? Contact Melissa Pino at mpino@foodbanknyc.org or (646) 477-6745.

You’ll always find seasonal fresh produce and shelf-stable goods at every Mobile Pantry—that’s a promise. Depending on what we receive and the time of year, you might also see diapers, baby food and products, personal and feminine care items, Bombas socks, pet food, or holiday items.

Bring a reusable bag or a cart to carry your groceries home.

We recommend lining up 30 minutes before start time. Please don’t arrive hours early—there’s no need, and it may be cold. Our team works hard to make sure everyone in line—front to back—has real choices.

No. All Mobile Pantry distributions are first-come, first-served.

The only exception is during select, donor-sponsored distributions, when food may be pre-bagged to support a large, one-time event (for example, an annual holiday distribution).

Absolutely! Many families attend multiple Mobile Pantry sites throughout the month.

Check this page for the most up-to-date hours. We also post updates on the pantry site’s Instagram.

We’re here rain or shine. If something rare comes up—a holiday or safety concern—we’ll post updates right here on this page.

You may either talk to program manager Melissa Pino at the site, or fill out our story form and someone from our team will follow up. You can stay anonymous, and photos are totally optional.
