Biography

Andrea Shaw Resnick is a strategic, innovative and results-driven executive with decades of experience driving growth and leading top talent at complex global organizations. She has extensive knowledge of communications, finance, investor relations, portfolio management, equity research, capital markets and M&A. Known for her superpower of deep understanding of the customer and consumer businesses, in December 2024 she retired from her role as the Chief Communications Officer of Tapestry, Inc. (formerly Coach, Inc.) after a storied 24-year journey with the organization and service as a member of The Tapestry Foundation Board. She joined Coach during a pivotal time in its history to guide the organization through its IPO and create the first-ever Investor Relations program – which she then led for nearly 20 years. Andrea also stepped up to serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer three times for a total of two years between 2016 and 2021, and in 2021, was tapped to become the company’s first Chief Communications Officer.

Before joining Tapestry, Andrea was a Director and Senior Portfolio Manager with HSBC Asset Management Americas in New York where she managed $500 million in US mid-cap and aggressive growth equity funds and co-managed an additional $2.6 billion in growth and income funds. She achieved superior long-term track records in her funds, with top quartile performance and also established and chaired the Regional Investment Strategy Group for North America, providing input to global asset allocation strategy.

Previously, she was an Equity Research Analyst for Oppenheimer & Co., where she researched, analyzed and recommended stocks within the restaurant, lodging and gaming industries.

Andrea Resnick attended Barnard College of Columbia University and is a former member of the National Investor Relations Institute, the Arthur Page Society and the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) Council. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors of Optimal Advisors. She lives in Westchester with her husband and wire-haired dachshund. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on the NY Giants and Yankees.
