Bob Silvia is the Chief Procurement and Operations Officer at Food Bank For New York City. A former U.S. Navy diver turned operations leader, Bob brings more than 14 years in food banking and 45 years of volunteer service to his role.
Raised in public housing, he remains deeply connected to the mission. Bob has worked at food banks from Hawaii to NYC, overseeing supply chains and logistics with the grit of a Navy veteran and the compassion of a true community servant.
When not wrangling supply chains, he can be found riding his Harley, chasing waves, or spending time with his bulldog—often with a Disney soundtrack playing in the background.
