NEW YORK (PoliticsNY.com) — Leslie Gordon, President & CEO of Food Bank For NYC, joins the 2024 LGBTQ+ Power Players list, recognizing leaders for their contributions to the community. This honor, from PoliticsNY, amNY Metro, and Gay City News, celebrates those driving positive change.

Released during Pride Month, the third annual LGBTQ+ Power Players list highlights leaders across corporate, non-profit and political sectors.

1 in 5 LGBTQ+ New Yorkers face food insecurity— a reality that Food Bank For NYC is working to change by partnering with community organizations across the five boroughs.

Leslie Gordon’s leadership ensures all New Yorkers, regardless of identity or orientation, access essential resources.

“LGBTQ+ individuals participate in programs like SNAP at higher rates compared to other groups,” Leslie noted. She urges policymakers to enhance access and enforce anti-discrimination laws in service provision.

Join us in celebrating Leslie’s achievement and our continued dedication to inclusivity and food security for all New Yorkers!
