Just Say Yes Workshops

Cook. Taste. Learn. JSY is a fun, hands-on workshop series for adults ages 18+ that makes nutrition practical, accessible, and culturally relevant.

Food Bank For NYC reaches New Yorkers where they are—at local pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens—with real-world skills and real-time support.

Hosted by Food Bank member agencies and led by our Community Nutritionists, JSY workshops focus on:

  • Making healthy meals on a budget

  • Reading food labels

  • Cooking with pantry staples

  • Empowering healthier everyday choices

  • The full series includes 12 workshops, offered in English and Spanish.
