February 16, 2013 – Last month Food Bank For New York City, along with 39 representatives from our member charities, traveled to Albany for the 42nd Annual Conference of the New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators.
January 20, 2013 – It’s been three months since Hurricane Sandy struck and many parts of the City are still recovering. Times were tough for millions of New York City residents before October 29—in fact, one in three of them was having difficulty putting food on the table—and things only got worse after Sandy.
January 15, 2013 – January 1983 marked the official start of an organization built by hunger advocates and a handful of charities to supply the much-needed food for their shared mission of ending hunger.
