Food Bank offers ways for our members to do more – and better serve your clients.

Choice-Style Food Pantries

A client-choice program is exactly what it sounds like: a food pantry that allows clients to select the food they will take home. The client-choice model allows pantries to honor individual food preferences, better meet the dietary needs of their clientele, reduce waste and stretch limited resources. Read the flyer on How to Set Up Client Choice Pantry.

Open Market BackPack

Provides children from low-income families with bags that they fill with fresh produce and healthy food items to make balanced, nutritious meals at home. Children are taught how to shop, helping them understand what goes into a healthy meal while building competency and self-sufficiency. Contact us for more information.

CookShop

New York City’s low-income neighborhoods suffer from a high incidence of diet-related diseases such as diabetes, obesity and hypertension — resulting largely from a diet high in fat, calories and sodium.  Food Bank’s suite of CookShop Programs encourages the development of healthy diets while helping participants meet challenges to healthy living. Contact us for more information.

Income Support

Food Bank’s income support services offer clients a vehicle out of food poverty, while empowering your community and increasing your program’s profile. Screening for benefits including SNAP is available in select member locations. Contact us for more information.
