Food Bank For New York City’s annual Can Do awards dinner is a celebration of our city’s most dedicated anti-hunger champions. Sponsored by Bank of America and chaired by Lee Brian Schrager and Jodisue Rosen & Scott R. Feldman at Cipriani Wall Street, this year’s gala celebrated the innovative impact of our 2019 honorees: Chef José Andrés, David Burtka & Neil Patrick Harris, Hildy Simmons and Stop & Shop.

Can Do honorees David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris shared inspiring remarks at the podium recognizing the impact of their fellow honorees and supporters in the room. David and Neil spoke briefly but powerfully to the scourge of hunger in our city and our shared responsibility to fight it for our children’s best chance at a hopeful future. The room erupted in applause as David and Neil recommitted to continued partnership with Food Bank in service of our neighbors.
Produce for the evening’s centerpieces was generously donated by Stop & Shop and was distributed to our clients following the event.
