Food Bank Honored in the Bronx
Last night, Food Bank For New York City received the Community Service Award from the Hunts Point Economic Development Corporation for 31 years of excellence as the city’s major hunger relief organization. Food Bank COO Lisa Hines-Johnson accepted the award on behalf of Food Bank and our citywide network of member charities.

Fashion Takes Action: Food Bank and Henri Bendel Go Orange to End Hunger™
On September 23rd, iconic fashion accessories retailer Henri Bendel hosted a “Fashion Takes Action” cocktail reception for Go Orange to End Hunger™ at its Fifth Avenue flagship location. Celebrity and Culinary Ambassadors including Kelly Bensimon, Todd English, Katie Lee, and Eden Grinshpan were on hand to show their support along with Food Bank Board members and Henri Bendel’s President, Chris Fiore. Celebrating Italian Heritage
From spaghetti and lasagna to risotto and osso buco, New Yorkers have loved Italian cuisine for more than a century. Slice Out Hunger
This year’s Slice Out Hunger was a success, raising $30,000 for Food Bank! Attendees purchased tickets for either a slice of pizza, a drink, or a dessert from over 50 participating pizzerias and food donors. Thank you to Scott’s Pizza Tours and all of the volunteers for organizing and executing this annual event!
