Food Bank Responds to City’s Needs During Blizzard

In response to snowfall projections and a city mandate for subway and street closures on Tuesday, Food Bank For New York City took action on Monday by making emergency deliveries to food pantries and soup kitchens in addition to all scheduled deliveries.

On Tuesday, once the transportation ban was lifted, Food Bank’s Community Kitchen and Pantry in Harlem reopened with the help of some of our most dedicated Food Bankers and volunteers. As a result, over 120 families were served while schools and offices were shut down city-wide. Read more...
