Operated out of the Food Bank's Community Kitchen & Food Pantry, our full-service soup kitchen prepares and serves approximately 10,000 free meals every month. In an effort to meet the needs of a diverse group of New Yorkers in need — including working adults, children, homeless, seniors and people with disabilities — our soup kitchen provides two dining options:
- Congregate Meals: New Yorkers are welcomed to the Food Bank's Community Kitchen every weekday for nutritious, and delicious, meals served in our dining area. Our Congregate Meal services provide dinner Monday through Friday.
- Family Meals: Full meals, prepared and packaged at the Community Kitchen, are available to be picked up and brought home by eligible New Yorkers to enjoy in a family setting, Monday through Friday.
The Community Kitchen's meals are prepared by a staff of professional cooks who emphasize the nutritional content of their menus.
The soup kitchen is open for dinner on Monday through Friday from 4-6pm.
