Food Assistance Programs
The Food Bank's network of more than 1,000 food assistance programs throughout the five boroughs includes soup kitchens, food pantries, senior centers, daycare services, Kids Cafes, Open Market BackPack Programs, rehabilitation centers, shelters and youth services.
These programs use the food provided by the Food Bank for preparing nutritious, balanced meals for hungry New Yorkers who otherwise would not get enough to eat — the majority of whom are women, children, seniors, the working poor and people with disabilities.
Other Partners
Food Bank For New York City also works with a variety of other groups, including national and local anti-hunger nonprofit organizations, anti-poverty organizations, grantmakers, businesses, legislators and government agencies, to alleviate hunger in New York City.
