One of 2010 Can Do Awards Dinner honorees, Bank of America has been a longtime supporter of programs and volunteer efforts. As part of Bank of America’s focus on emergency safety net needs during the economic downturn, the Bank of America Charitable Foundation provided more than $200 million in charitable giving to hunger- relief efforts across the country. In New York, the company has leveraged a powerful combination of resources to support the Food Bank’s efforts to feed the hungry, including a partnership with the New York Yankees for the ComBAT Hunger campaign, food drive collections, employee volunteer support and recognition through the Neighborhood Excellence Initiative.
Since 2004, Credit Suisse has been a strong partner to the Food Bank For New York City, participating in the Can-Do Awards Dinner and NYC Goes Orange. In addition, the company's volunteer efforts have resulted in enough food to serve more than 108,000 free meals to New Yorkers in need. This October, they even lit their tower orange for one week in honor of the Food Bank. Throughout the year, Credit Suisse provides the necessary support to help us in our mission to end hunger in our city.
The Food Bank is excited to welcome Delta Air Lines as the official airline of the Food Bank For New York City! Delta has most recently contributed to the 2009 Can-Do Awards Dinner and Delta staff members volunteer at the Food Bank's Community Kitchen in West Harlem once a month. Delta also supports the Food Bank by contributing in-kind to various events and campaigns.

A longtime supporter of Check Out Hunger, ShopRite/Wakefern was one of the 2010 Can Do Awards Dinner honorees. Partnering with the Food Bank for over 10 years, ShopRite works to provide donated goods, fundraisers and volunteers for many Food Bank events. Shoprite/Wakefern is a featured sponsor for our Annual Agency Conference.
Over the last few years, Time Out New York has been a consistent and tireless supporter of the Food Bank For New York City. They are a major sponsor of the Time Out For Hunger campaign and through their promotion doubled restaurant participation in 2008. They have supported numerous other Food Bank campaigns and events including the Can-Do Awards Dinner, the Lunchbox Auction and NYC Goes Orange by providing promotional services and invaluable ad space.
