There are several ways that you can designate the Food Bank For New York City as your charity of choice in your workplace giving campaigns:
Federal Government Employees
Giving has never been easier; you can help hungry New Yorkers through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). If you are a federal employee, you can support the work of the Food Bank with your CFC contribution. Please enter CFC #58315 on your campaign pledge card.
Private Sector, State & Local Government Employees
If you are a New York State employee, look for the Food Bank For New York City on the charity list for your payroll deductions, or choose to make a one-time gift. As part of the State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA), please select SEFA #51-1380 on your campaign pledge card. We also participate in the Combined Municipal Campaigns (CMC) program, for which you may select the Food Bank, CMC #1529.
City University of New York (CUNY) Employees
All employees of the CUNY system are provided with the opportunity to contribute in easy, convenient installments set up as a payroll deduction. To select the Food Bank, use #1529. Every September, CUNY holds awareness-raising events to encourage participation in their payroll-deduction program. If you are a City University of New York employee, ask CUNY administrative staff about this program.
If your company's employee giving program includes the United Way, look for the Food Bank For New York City in the listing of charities. Most local United Way programs also allow donors to specify a charity other than those listed. All you need to do is write in Food Bank For New York City on the "donor-option" line or provide the Food Bank's EIN number, 13-3179546, on your campaign giving form.
Matching employee contributions is an increasingly popular way for a company to demonstrate support for its employees and community. At the same time, when an employee makes a donation to the Food Bank, the company's "matching" donation of the same amount doubles the impact of the gift.
Bring the Food Bank For New York City into Your Workplace
If your employer does not have an employee giving or matching-gift program, or if you would like to include the Food Bank in your existing campaign, please ask your Human Resources department or Workplace Giving representative to contact Jason Adams in Individual Giving.
