  The IRS recognizes the Food Bank For New York City as the largest coordinator of civilian tax assistance in the country. Food Bank volunteers, who have received IRS certification, help provide as much as $100 million in tax refunds for New York City's working poor annually.

Food Bank For New York City serves more than 1,000 food assistance programs throughout the five boroughs. To help New Yorkers in need access programs in their communities, our Food Program Locator, below, can be used to locate food pantries, soup kitchens and senior centers throughout New York City. Learn more about the types of food assistance programs in the Food Bank's network. The Food Bank also provides programs that help New Yorkers in need receive food stamps and tax assistance. Browse our Links for New Yorkers in Need page to find out about the Food Bank's Direct Services as well as sources of assistance available to New Yorkers in need from other nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
