“We are proud to support Food Bank For New York City,” said
Lisa Kartzman, Director, Public Relations for Roland Foods. “Roland
Foods has a long history of supporting charitable organizations, and as a New
York-based company Food Bank For New York City is a particularly important
cause for us.”
Food Bank For New York City is one
of the country's largest food banks, with the mission of ending hunger in New
York City by organizing food, information and support for community survival
and dignity. Nearly 3 million New
Yorkers experience difficulty affording food — an astounding number and one
that continues to rise. Emergency food providers are already struggling to
stretch shrinking resources to meet unprecedented need. Just this year, cuts in
the federal Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) resulted in the loss of
11 million meals at food pantries and soup kitchens in New York City alone.
American Roland Food Corp. is a Manhattan-based food import
company. After more than 77 years in the business, American Roland Food Corp
carries more than 1400 imported food products. Consistent quality products and
large inventory here in the US, have earned the company a position of
leadership in the industry and a welcome place in restaurant pantries, home
kitchens, and on market shelves.
Roland Foods is committed to making food available to those less
fortunate and participates in a variety of hunger relief events throughout the
year. For more information on American Roland Food Corp please visit www.RolandFoods.com or become a fan on Facebook and follow on Twitter!
