Policy & Research

 ADVOCACY

Fighting a problem as complex as food poverty requires a clear understanding of the issues involved. Food Bank's research initiatives allow us to engage in public policy discussions at the city, state and federal levels and to help make deep, long-term improvements for New Yorkers in need. As a Food Bank supporter, please join these discussions and make a difference.

Policy & Research Reports

Food Bank's work is guided by extensive original research on food poverty in the city. Read our reports on the extent of local food poverty, the people affected, access to government nutrition assistance and income support programs, and more.

Government Relations

Food Bank works with legislators, government agencies and community members to develop new and improve existing policies and programs to support the city's anti-hunger network and New Yorkers in need. Learn more about our ongoing policy and public education initiatives.
